In it to win it!

Want to win a thousand times a day?

Did you know that, with my work, I get to speak to incredible people all around the world, from all walks of life and all having very different experiences. But, there’s a pattern, well there’s a few actually, that I see, which confirms social ideologies and innate behaviours.

One of the nuances that is so consistent and undeniable, is our emotional landscape and the behaviours that stem from that. I have seen time and time again how being emotionally unchecked, unstable or unable to at least control your emotions to a rational degree, is leading to poverty.

Think about how you soothe yourself? Do you want to feel better so you ‘Treat yourself’? Have you chosen a job you need to escape from twice a year on a holiday? Do you feel so worthless that you feel you cannot nor deserve to have savings in the bank, because that in itself feels so unfamiliar to you? Are you surrounded by friends or family who have a lifestyle which is supported by their credit card?

There seems to be a direct correlation between being unable to manage your emotions and the amount of money you both attract and sustain. But, that ideology is very logical, because ultimately, left unchecked, our emotions do dictate our thoughts and what dangerous ground that can be!

In my work and when I work with people on a one-to-one basis, I teach people how to become more measured and thought out. I implement hobbies and ‘Time-out’ rituals that encourage them to measure their emotions more. A great example of this is from my own experience growing up. I grew up in a small town in the Midlands, the emphasis and cultural expectations were based around family and friends, it was communal in its practices. Then, when I moved down here, to London, I realised people had hobbies that were more conducive to emotional, physical and mental control. Everyone had something they did that practised control. Something I had never seen before. My life went from essentially meeting round the hearth, i.e. the table at the pub and catching up socially, to not being able to get onto the badminton or Archery team because the waiting list was so long. Golf is big down here, rowing also; These are all sports that practise focus. There we have it, in an area that is affluent, people spent their time either reading a lot of books and learning or enjoying hobbies that also exercised their ability to control their emotions and sharpened their focus.

These social patterns become really quite interesting when you start to see how individuals behave in exact accordance to their financial situations. Sometimes it's not as obvious as spending money, but sometimes, it’s a little bit more covert in the sense of what mindset they are practising.

I have stated many times before that what you focus on and do daily, even just on a small scale, will become your reality. So if you are taking small steps towards being more emotionally capable to handle disappointment, stress and changes, then you will notice that does not then, have a domino effect on your other life.

A great example of this is the stories I hear from my clients. Before meeting and working with me, it is not uncommon for people to be buying into the Psychic apps and blowing up the Psychic phone lines because they are in emotional distress. This leaves two issues, one, they are blowing an absolute fortune in finding the right Psychic and actually not investing in anyone, they are just looking for an immediate remedy and the other reason this is so catastrophic is because ultimately they can get different messages to the same problem. There’s many reasons for this, one could be the credibility of these Psychics. Shuffling cards and asking if this resonates is a modern day trend, but it doesn’t mean it's credible. Being Psychic is a gift and not an entitlement.

So this example alone shows you how poor someone will make themselves just because of the root cause being they have not been able to control their emotions and think rationally. If they had come to me to start with and invested in me, then results would have been quicker and I can guarantee they would have saved a lot of money. I honestly, recuperate a lot of disappointed people who realise the Psychics they went to, were not credible, but that’s ok, but can you see how taking a step back and not reacting immediately can save you not only your time but also a lot of money.

I love you,
